What is ethyl alcohol? I have directions for making homemade perfume and it takes ethyl alcohol?

I take it that ethyl alcohol is not rubbing alcohol? Are there any perfume recipes that just take everyday ingredients? I don’t have alot of money, and I was hoping that I could make my own perfume and save a little money that way.

Ethyl alcohol is just regular alcohol. Rubbing alcohol is isopropal alcohol and methanol. (bad, though I suppose tiny amounts of it are fine)
Use Everclear which is 96% Ethyl alcohol. There is also denatured alcohol that has small amounts of methanol in it as well to keep people from drinking untaxed alcohol.

ethyl alcohol is caused by fermentation when no oxygen is present. LOL no joke! I learned that in bio today! haha! that fermentation either makes ethyl alcohol or lactic acid(in muscles) lol, such a coincidence
*** Sorry lol ok. ethyl alcohol is regular alcohol thats used to make beer or wine.

What you are looking for is called ‘Denatured’ alcohol available at a pharmacy.
Note you should look at the wiki for “Ethyl Alcohol” or ‘denatured alcohol’ just search it…
there are some safety warnings!
